This lovely event usually takes place in an open space near Drassanes, but it has also been held on the beach, inside the French railway station, in culture centers, etc. Basically, people bring everything they'd like to sell (and by that I mean everything, which you'll see in the photos below) and exhibit it in creative ways, using suitcases, tables, drying lines. There are no stands provided. Sometimes stuff is just scattered in big piles all over the ground, with pieces of paper flying around saying loudly "2 x 1 Euro" or something of the sorts. You'd have to dig through the whole thing and then usually bargain for your picks, as there are no set prices. As I said. It's awesome.
Jewelry and clothes are a big part of it. Toys as well. But there's practically everything. Once there was a Mini Cooper. Yes, the car.
You can encounter some of the weridest stuff around here.
I love this bike. Strong words for a person that doesn't even know how to ride a bike (yes. don't laugh). But I've seen this design going around the internet and it was so cool seeing it in person. Talking to the owner, she said that she had seen the same pictures, so she just went ahead and made it herself! The stuff she was selling there was also handmade - tooth paste and skin care cremes. How cool is that?
Creative displays. That's how most off the stuff is exhibited around here.
I love it when people actually want to be on the photo when I tell them it's for my blog!
I instantly fell in love with this tiny tea set!
And in the meantime, on the other side of the street there were concerts and free dancing lessons!
